Healthy Home Made Crackers at Work

Feeling tired at work and you don’t feel like making a nutritious, healthy meal? We’ve got a solution for you. When you’re at home one night and you don’t have anything specific to do, you can make these delicious seed crackers in one large batch a time.

Seeds have many health benefits. For example, flaxseeds may have the power to reduce heart disease, cancer and diabetes. It contains omega-3 essential fatty acids. And that’s good fat we’re talking about. Omega-3s can lower your triglycerides, battle against depression and improve your cardiovascular health.

The good thing is, it’s not much work at all, plus you’ll have lots of healthy, delicious crackers for a long period of time! You can bring them to work or have them as breakfast. Just add some hummus, peanut butter, or any other kind of paste and you’ll have a great energy boost to get through your day!


  • 1/2 cup of sunflowers seeds
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkinseeds
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds
  • 1/4 cup linseed
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • some flaky sea salt to sprinkle on top

Directions Heat oven to 170C. Place all the seeds and the salt in a bowl, pour in water and mix to combine. Leave for 15 minutes for the chia and flax seeds to soften and bind everything together. Tip out on to a baking paper-lined oven tray and spread out as thin as possible (around 4mm thick) and sprinkle with some flaky sea salt. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and slice into crackers, then return to the oven to cook for another 20-30 minutes until crisp and golden. Remove to a rack to cool then store in an airtight container.
